Sts. Cyril & Methodius Serbian Orthodox Mission Parish CT
Serbian Orthodox Diocese of Eastern America

On behalf of the Trusteeship and our entire parish community, we are delighted to welcome Father Nektarije Tesanović as our new temporary parish administrator as of November 1, 2025. We are truly blessed to have him join us and look forward to growing together under his guidance, faith, and pastoral care.

Father Nektarije was born in 1994 in Sremska Mitrovica, Serbia, and has been devoted to the Serbian Orthodox Church from a young age. His education and formation reflect a deep commitment to faith, theology, and service. He completed the Seminary High School of St. Arsenios of Srem, where he was recognized with the honors of “Pure Heart” and Best Student of His Generation. He went on to graduate maxima cum laude from the St. Sava School of Theology in Libertyville, Illinois. In 2017, he was tonsured a monk, receiving the name Nektarije after St. Nektarios of Aegina.

That same year, Father Nektarije was ordained a deacon and hieromonk. He went on to serve in several important capacities, most recently as Parish Priest of St. George Serbian Orthodox Church in Lorain, Ohio. His Grace Bishop Irinej appointed him temporary administrator of the Most Holy Mother of God Serbian Orthodox Monastery in Shadeland, Pennsylvania, in 2021, and later elevated him to the rank of Singelos on Bright Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at the St. George Church in Lorain.

In addition to his pastoral service, Father Nektarije has continued his theological studies at the University of St. Katherine, pursuing a Master of Divinity degree. He speaks Serbian, English, Spanish, and Greek, reflecting his dedication to serving a broad and diverse parish community.

We invite all parishioners and friends to meet Father Nektarije at our 2nd Annual Fundraiser Dinner on Saturday, November 1, and to welcome him during regular Sunday services at Holy Family, where he will serve and guide our parish family. This is a wonderful opportunity not only to greet him personally but also to come together as a community, support the growth of our parish, and celebrate this new chapter in our shared spiritual life.

Please join us in giving Father Nektarije a warm and heartfelt welcome. We are excited for the blessings, guidance, and inspiration he will bring to our community and look forward to seeing you all in fellowship and prayer.

With gratitude and blessings,
The Trusteeship of Sts. Cyril & Methodius Serbian Orthodox Church
